2 M³/d Small Integrated Wastewater Treatment System For Dairy Wastewater

For small-scale dairy and milk processing projects, wastewater treatment needs to be practical, compact and easy to manage.

This 2 m³/d integrated wastewater treatment system is designed for milk washing wastewater and combines biological treatment, sedimentation, disinfection and water collection into one compact treatment unit.

The main treatment equipment measures 4.0 × 1.5 × 2.0 m, with the treatment tanks and auxiliary components integrated into a single structure. The equipment is manufactured from corrugated carbon steel with internal and external anti-corrosion treatment.

The system is configured for a designed treatment capacity of 2 m³/d, making it suitable for small dairy facilities, milk processing operations, and other projects with relatively low wastewater generation.

The complete treatment process includes:

Hydrolysis Acidification → Contact Oxidation → Secondary Sedimentation → Disinfection → Intermediate Water Tank

The treatment unit also incorporates water distribution, biological media, sedimentation equipment and lifting pumps within the main structure.

Integrated Biological Treatment Process

The wastewater first enters the hydrolysis acidification section, where wastewater is prepared for subsequent biological treatment.

The system then uses a contact oxidation process equipped with biological media and fine-bubble aeration. The biological media has a diameter of 150 mm with an 80% filling ratio, while four φ215 micro-porous aerators are included for aeration.

A supporting aeration system and electromagnetic blower provide the required air supply for the biological treatment process. The aeration piping uses DN25 PVC components.

Sedimentation and Sludge Handling

After biological treatment, the wastewater enters the secondary sedimentation section.

A central sedimentation unit made of anti-corrosion carbon steel is included together with its supporting structure.

A submersible sludge pump is also provided for sludge handling.

This integrated arrangement allows the main biological treatment and solid-liquid separation processes to be completed within the same equipment package.

Compact Equipment with Integrated Control

The equipment is designed as a compact package rather than a series of separate treatment tanks.The main unit includes a dedicated equipment room with a length of approximately 1 meter, while the electrical control cabinet provides automatic control for the complete system.

The system uses standard single-phase 220 V, 50 Hz electrical specifications for several auxiliary components, making the configuration suitable for projects with corresponding local power conditions.

Integrated Disinfection System

Disinfection is included as part of the complete treatment configuration.

The system is equipped with a metering pump, a 100 L PE chemical dosing tank and an agitator for the disinfection process.

The wastewater treatment system also includes an external discharge pump rated at 0.55 kW, together with an intermediate water tank for subsequent water discharge.
